Dog Day

Another trip to a dog show. Penny and I enjoy going and seeing all the beautiful dogs. We just wander through and see what we see. A standard poodle getting groomed.

I am not sure if this is a bearded collie or something else, but he has a beard and a bouffant.

Always think Schnauzer beards are fun.

Another year at the Tucson Gem and Mineral show

I love going to the Gem and Mineral show in Tucson. This year there are 35 different shows/locations. I made it to two. I love seeing the people, the rocks, the fossils, from all over the world. It is the most amazing thing. Museum quality stuff, coming out of a barrel or packing crate. I buy a pittance, but they are here to sell to wholesale buyers for the year. This show is the biggest in the world.  Do you see those amazing pieces above, crammed full of fossils? I would love one of those.

This is a bowl or basin, made out of agate I think. They had them made out of all kinds of things. This is the size of a sink. There were some with drain holes predrilled. So pretty.

These fossils are big. You would need both hands to hold them.

These are bowls, mostly cereal bowl sized, made from rose quartz.

White quartz bowls.

Labrodorite is so pretty It's a little pricey. I almost bought a piece the size of a playing card. Maybe next year. These were bookend sized.
I think these birds are so cool. I bought a small parrot last year. This year I bought two small birds. They are made entirely of different types of stone.
These are Phoenix birds. I think I should have one because I live in Phoenix. They weren't expensive, but I had bought other things.
 Tiger agate from Australia.
 Tiger eye
This citrine colored geode was almost 3 feet tall.

I love buying solid stone beads to make jewelry.
A beautiful white quartz parrot on a 3 ft amethyst Geode.
