Cindy and I went for a hike up Shaw Butte on Monday morning. It is so nice to be out hiking a lot again.So can you see downtown Phoenix under the brown cloud there. I live down there in not too far from the brown cloud that we are breathing.
When we got to the top of Shaw Butte and look North, the air is much cleaner. Just so you know.
Anyway I have to brag, that even though it's been a while since we hiked regularly, I am doing really well. I didn't have to stop and gasp for air on the way up. I am pretty sure I did the last time we went up Shaw Butte! Tomorrow we are doing 9.5 miles down Central from North Mountain to downtown (Brown Cloud City).

I'm looking forward to our hike tomorrow. Since it is flat city walking, I'm not sure it is a hike or a walk. But since it is over nine miles, I'm going to say "hike". See you in the morning.
I am always hoping most of that brown cloud to be dust! You guys sure do cover a lot of territory!
