Earring-aholic

There are some things that I have previously admitted to liking rather obsessively. Way back when I first started this blog, I wrote an entry about being a dishaholic. Lots of you know that I really like earrings. I have told a lot of you about my earring collection and storage. I just thought I would take a photo and show you. This box is 8 1/2" by 14" and is meant to store nuts and bolts, beads or the like. I have it pretty well packed. They are sorted by type. There are two "holiday" spots. One for gold and silve hoops. One for colored hoops. One for "dressy" earrings. One for "native american" beaded earrings. One for silver earrings. One for "color" earrings. One that is sort of "french hook not other classified".  And so on.
Anybody else have this many? And how do you store them?

My current obsession is vintage earrings, especially those that are old bead clip-ons. I convert them to pierced. I, too, have a box with compartments. Mine is an old wood box. -- I saw a cool way to display earrings at a craft faire. They'd used an office-type garbage can made of a metal-mesh type material (I've seen them at Wal-mart) turned upside down on a lazy susan. It was reallly cool.

I marvel at the extent of your earring collection, and assume the only reason I do not have a similar one is that I lose mine all the time. I'm annoyed with how often I lose them. Have you figured out how many you have? In other words, if you wore a different pair every day how long would it take you to get back to the start again?
