A Grave Situation

After having to make my father's funeral arrangenments back in 2000, I have thought often about my own funeral arrangements. I think it is a great thing that you can do for those who remain, to take care of all that. In addition, being a single person, I had thought a lot about where I would be buried. I didn't just want to be an anonymous person all by myself in some cemetary.
I had talked to my sister about it, and so one year, she and her husband got me a plot in the little cemetary by their home. My brother in laws family are all buried there and they have plots for their family too. Quite the birthday present, don't you think? It's w only 25$ there, while here in Phoenix, it is in the thousands for a plot.
So this time when I was back there, my brother in law arranged for me to go talk to the funeral home. I signed up for a Pre need funeral policy. We planned it all out, for a funeral, here in Phoenix and then transport to Idaho. I even picked out my clothes. I paid for the casket spray, headstone, death certificates, guest book and programs, everything! So now I am paying for it over the next 5 years.I have to say it gives me a lot of peace to know it's all taken care of. Hopefully, I won't need it for a long time! And if I suddenly meet Mr. Right and my plans change, it can be changed, the money is just set aside.
Cool huh?

I think I'd have waited until it was a little closer to "time to go" before picking out my wardrobe, but that's just me. :-)

I had to laugh this morning, I was just about to step in the shower when the phone rang, and of course I thought of you! Lucky for me I was in my bedroom, no "doggie doors" there!

Oops! that was suppose to be on the Naked story! Nice to plan ahead, good decision, 255 cents a plot aye? Maybe you'll have more company! As for wardrobe, I thought it was suppose to be your temple dress

The "wardrobe" was some special temple clothing. Even though I own my own, my sister said they didn't want to have to hunt through my belongings looking for it, when I could prepurchase it and have it all taken care of. Pretty classic style!
